Abstract text: The study in this paper, tries to highlight the correlation between physiological and pathological aspects of pregnancy and periodontal implication by grafting the microbial determination factor, on a field with terms of modified general reactivity under the aspect of immune reactions, influenced by hormonal dysfunctions. In the general part are presented data from specialty literature on pregnancy and oral manifestations, etiopathogeny and clinical aspects of periodontal pathology. The special part contains a study of 80 pregnant women between 20 and 40 years of age with physiological and non-physiological pregnancy. Conclusions have practical importance, on the relationship between the quality of oro-dental hygiene, presence of plaque and oral inflammatory events that define the pregnant women behavior to these. Also relevant are the prophylactic measures that consists in oral inning in the first trimester of pregnancy, achieve therapeutic interventions based on the evolutionary stage of pregnancy, particularly in the last quarter with a palliative nature to avoid complications.
