Abstract text: Partially edentulous patient lying or totally edentulous, the importance of saliva and the salivary flow gains valences default we determined age-specific mood so the third or fourth, usually accompanied by some diseases, and the local state in these tissues changed ages. Treatment with removable prosthesis by modifying oral ecosystem, which will add difficulties oral fluid will have to overcome in order to maintain oral health. Saliva, oral ecosystem component, except it performs many functions in the oral and general sanogenesis, also removable denture retention and stability. Salivary flow, with negative pressure, achieved and maintained by closing marginal and muscle tonicity and with edges parallel to the external faces of the prosthesis, stabilized prosthesis, even in reduced circumstances. Characteristics of the two surfaces in contact (prosthetic field and the prosthesis) are totally different one is represented by an inert material, the other a biological tissue. While wearing removable prosthesis such features are permanently altered, like the saliva in a different way, multiple and varied reasons. Therefore, in the presence of extensive partial or total edentulous in clinical and paraclinical examination is absolutely necessary to pay attention to quantitative and qualitative assessment of salivary flow. In this paper we present results obtained by investigating a group of patients before and after prosthesis, paying attention to quantitative and qualitative assessment of salivary flow, expressing qualities conclusions regarding changes or no changes of saliva in the presence of removable dentures.
