Abstract text: In plants, as in animals, cells are in a constant network with each other in order to coordinate their activity as a response to various stimuli (light, temperature etc.) that influence the growth, flowering and fructification process. Regarding the signaling pathways in plants there are many missing links compared to the communication pathways in animal cells and the receptor proteins and intracellular signaling mechanisms are not always identical. Thus, this paper presents the progress regarding the molecular mechanisms of plant cell’s signaling pathways based on some recent comparative studies between the signaling transduction pathways in plant and animal world that gives us the possibility to understand the new elements that differentiate the plant and animal cell lines in an evolutionary perspective.
