| Abstract text: | Total edentulous appearance is a major psychological trauma for most patients. For prosthetic restoration, a large number of totally edentulous patients shows that a significant percentage not use their dentures or use their aesthetic reasons, only jaw prosthesis. Treatment options for rehabilitation of the subtotal edentulous mandible include conventional full denture, full denture retention on teeth or total joint prosthesis using dental implants retention composite dentures. The literature is clear about the benefits of Overdenture mixed teeth and implants: improved quality of life and long-term preservation of alveolar and base bone. Lack of adaptation with total prostheses is caused by a number of factors, among which the most important are: morphological factors (prosthetic field deficit), psychological factors, psychological intolerance of dentures, insufficient coordination of oral-facial muscle system, low tolerance of soft tissue; vicious functions producing prosthesis instability, unrealistic assessment of prosthetic total edentulous condition, excessive vomiting reflex in contact with prosthetic parts. 150. Improving patient prosthesis mechanical means (by the application of implants) should be given only after a thorough analysis of bone outstanding support and a personal history, pathological analysis, which often is against implant therapy. Unlike other methods of treatment, overdenture is a simple and effective solution in terms of costs for rehabilitation of subtotal edentulous mandible. Despite studies made, there remains controversy about design of overdenture, system selection of maintenance, support and stability and proper technique to achieve this thing. The article presents a jaw overdentures supported by two implants inserted in the previous mandibular region and a natural tooth. We will make a total prosthesis with Staple. The proposed technique implementation requires a minimum number of clinical programming. The resilient systems are incorporated into the prosthesis in the laboratory and on implants and teeth in the mouth. |
