Abstract text: It is also known as ulcerative colitis, and mucosa idiopathic procto-colitis. Idiopathic rectocolitis is a chronic inflammatory disorder, with unknown etiology affecting the gastrointestinal tract – the colon.
This disease is ubiquitous, affecting 2-10/10 million people, depending on geographic area, most affected being developed states stabilized in the past 30 years, both sexes are affected equally, with an incidence of 30% higher in women in the north-west Europe, the age at which occurs is 15-25 years and 55-65 years and the most affected race is white compared with black and has a high incidence of 3 – 8 times compared Hebrew to non-Hebrew In terms of family history the rectocolitis incidence is within 6 to 37% in those with positive family history, the incidence in first degree relatives reaching 30-100%. Etiopathology factors are: genetics – are considered histocompatibility antigens (HLA-DR2) and heavy chain of immunoglobulin changes on chromosome 14 and 2. Clinical signs are: diarrhea and rectal hemorrhage as pathognomonic signs, associated with rectal tenesmus, abdominal pain and mucosa stools. This paper is a retrospective study, the survey period was August 8, 2008 to March 20, 2010 have found 17 cases 13 patients of witch 10 women and 3mens with aged between 50-55. Colonoscopy register records were consulted and inpatient observation sheets in the Clinic of Gastroenterology, Clinical Emergency County Hospital of Arad, aiming semiology presented by patients at the time of admission. All the information was analyzed and compared with the specialty literature.
