Abstract text: The condition of the iatrogenic parodontium defines the aspects of the injury generated by the iatrogenic elements with potential photogenes associated to the primary etiology agents- bacterialagents. Looking forward in the etiology of the pathogenic and clinical aspects of the parodontal iatrogenic causes, we have set up a modified and cumulated index: for irritation: which expresses the magnitude of the iatrogenic irritation; for plaque and tartar – linked to the grade of retention and deposits; gingival – which includes evolutional aspects of the affections (inflammation) of the gingival. In the same time the index allows an individual opinion in epidemiological studies of the dental restorations (crowns and fixed partial dentures) and oral hygiene. To explore and pathological evaluation included iatrogenic periodontal status, may be used objective clinical examination performed by inspection ,palpation and normal means of investigation and a number of known indices. These include: index of Silness and Loe plaque index, MAP (Schous and Massler), oral hygiene index (IHB), index of gingival inflammation (Loe and Silness). Besides they can also use another index: in conjunction with irritation index card index and modified gingival index. Irritation index, plaque and gum provide identification as irritative potential iatrogenic factors, determining microbial factor, cumulative lesion and correlation with pathogenic periodontal examinations. This is easily achieved in clinical cases, with the possibility of being used in epidemiological studies on ways and appreciative qualities coronary and prosthetic restorations. It is useful in assessing and interpreting the degree of periodontal damage, along with other indices which define inflammation at this level. Given these factors, irritation index, plaque and tartar, gum as proposed by us, may be considered as a value scale from 0 to 3 based on data obtained by clinical examination with periodontal exploration tools (parodontometric probes).
