Abstract text: Peripheral vascular pathology is still one of the most common diseases in the department of surgery. Cardiovascular risk factors, concomitant diseases and facilitating advanced disease often complex surgery of the lower limbs revascularization, so amputation remains the only therapeutic method effective on various levels. When we talk about an obliterative arterial the evolutionary process is not gradual as often believed, in general the passing from one stage to another is by an evolutionary flare, also should be noted that leg pain, the arterial, it is not situated in a localized process as generally believed, but rather we can talk about an involvement of the whole body, such vascular lesions founded on all arterial territories. Amputation surgery is performed most often on the legs.In elderly subjects to prevent gangrene member deprived of blood flow (arterial, thrombosis), when revascularization surgery is impossible or failed. Finally, we can opt to amputation of members who have lost all sensitivity or motility and often when their presence prevents the application of prosthesis. Amputation can be the treatment of choice for severe trauma, vascular disease, and tumors. In the paper the study is done, following the statistical distribution of patients over 5 years, by age group, gender, associated diseases, disorders determined risk factors during surgery effectuate.
