Abstract text: Large genital tumors represent an important chapter of uterus and ovaries surgical pathology. These tumors are most often with ovarian origin and can have a benign or a malignant nature. These can be, also, uterine fibroma, more frequently, or uterine sarcoma rarely. Uterine massively tumors are ascending from pelvis to abdomen. These tumors raise many problems because of their huge size, the possibility of malignancy and their tight relation with the nearby organs. We study a lot of 66 cases operated in the General Surgery Clinic of the Arad County Hospital in a 10 years period. The highest rates of appearance are that of ovarian cysts, followed by uterine fibromas. The age distribution reveals the existence of two incidence peaks periods. One is for uterine fibroma at 40-49 years and the other one is for ovarian cancer at 60-69 years. There are also cases when genital tumors resection was associated with surgical interventions like cholecystectomy, partial liver cystectomy and hernial repairs. Giant genital tumors must be removed complete, without damaging the cyst, without leaving portions of the tumor capsule, respecting the nearby organs and with no intracystic fluid leakage in the peritoneal cavity.
