Patients in IT departments have a greater susceptibility to any infection, any potential how small that is influenced by disease severity (which is major critical patient), age during hospitalization, potential treatment, the patient’s physical status, immunosuppressive therapy, malnutrition, ventilatory prosthesis, surgery, etc. In intensive care Clinic Municipal Hospital of Arad nosocomial infection rate is higher by 23.6% in patients with fatal diseases from 2.1% in patients with nonfatal infections (prospective study).
