Abstract text: | Cervical cancer is the second cancer in frequency worldwide. High frequency, new facts from the literature, and the Nobel Award for research in this area come to strengthen choosing this theme. However, it is a major problem for our country because of the high incidence and mortality of patients who are presenting in advanced stages when therapeutic possibilities are limited. HPV was recently involved in the etiology of cervical cancer and that oral contraceptive use for 5 years, increasing almost twice the risk of cervical cancer. We conducted a retrospective study presented is based on clinical observation sheets, accounting records and oncological surgery registries in 2009 in Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Dr. Salvator Vuia Arad. Bleeding is the first symptom and the primary way to start, to 69, 5% of the study group. Cervical cancer occurs most frequently in women aged 50 – 60 years, as menopause is installed later, especially after age 50 years, uterine cancers are more common. The most useful for positive diagnosis of cervical cancer is biopsy, 75% of cases were diagnosed by biopsy. For early detection of cervical cancer and gynecological need a Pap test annually Babes, because the disease develops silently over a long period. |
