The labial-palato-velar clefts represent a pathology chapter always in actuality. The authors present with arguments the casuistic, the objectives and the limits of the surgery of this pathology. These objectives are being formulated on the behalf of over 4000 operated cases. They show individual clinical situations like: unilateral or bilateral lip clefts, complete or incomplete; unilateral or bilateral palatine clefts, complete or incomplete; the sequels after clefts. Each of these situations is being sustained with case presentations. With this presentation the authors are showing details from a group of pathology less known. The conclusion is that the result of these cases is being achieved by working in a team, which is led by a cranial-maxilo-facial surgeon, and each of them has his own individuality which determines the choosing of the surgical technique. |
