Conclusions: The purpose of the study is to establish the prevalence of tuberculosis infection in a group of 1539 gipsy persons. 1417 of them were made and read IDR at PPD 2u. IDR over 10mm was observed in 50.1%. Regarding the people having IDR over 10mm,male dominated in Arad County (340), while in Bihor county, were affected both men and women equally (B = 19, F = 18). 514 of those included in the study had no BCG scar in Arad County most of them being males (267) and in Bihor County, both females and males (17). 1096 persons (in Arad County) had a TB contact last year among the contacts including relatives, parents.
